What is Klaim?

This is the first blog for Klaim. Therefore, it makes sense that it writes about what Klaim is.
Klaim is usage-based billing for AI startups designed to maximize pricing experiments and revenue. As so many companies, both existing and new, are now AI companies, the products and the features they are offering often rely on AI models (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini, Claude). Therefore, those AI companies are charged for every usage, whether it be text, image, or video, by using the AI “inference”. As a result, gone are the days of flat-rate, seat-based SaaS pricing model. AI startups now charge their customers based on usage, often combined with monthly fee - called hybrid. For example, XYZ AI Dreams - an imaginary AI video generation startup - would sell 2000 credits for $39.99, where it cost 300 credits for a 10-second video or 500 credits for a 30-second video.
As we now have a new ‘currency’ with AI (e.g. credits, points, etcs) changing everything about pricing, one thing has not changed for AI startups. That is, AI startups must maximize pricing experiments with stability to find the best business model and capture the most revenue. For example, instead of “free trial” by period, we now have “free credits”. Instead of “50% off the next month” with a referral link activated, we now have “500 free credits”. Instead of providing an angry customer with a partial refund, we now provide a one-time, non-expiring “free credits”. Additionally, the introduction of this new pricing model makes A/B pricing tests even more important as well as providing the flexibility of pricing tests by more people within a company.
This is where Klaim comes in. Klaim makes it super-easy for AI startups to experiment pricing with stability. AI startups can now run 10 (or more) pricing and promotions in parallel without worry about breaking the system. It just works. Once connected, any stakeholders within the company can now run new pricing experiments and manage customers with credits. AI startups can now truly focus on just making their product better while anything about pricing and payments can now be offloaded to Klaim.
Lastly, Klaim just doesn’t stop there. Klaim has an AI agent (or AI assistant) called CAIRO - which represents Chief AI Revenue Officer. CAIRO has thousands of usage-based pricing data by all sizes of AI startups. CAIRO provides AI startups with competitive pricing analysis, updates, and recommendations for pricing and promotions. As the name indicates, it’s like having a chief revenue officers with the most knowledge, insights, trends, and the best decision-making skills when it comes down to “How much to sell”.
That’s why Klaim is usage-based billing for AI startups designed to maximize pricing experiments and revenue.
